On August 21, 2017, the USA will experience a Total Solar Eclipse. During the total solar eclipse, the moon will completely cover the sun. You will also be able to see stars and planets that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to see until dusk or nightfall.
This event is nicknamed the “Great American Eclipse.” The last time a solar eclipse was visible across so much of the contiguous United States was on June 8, 1918.
However, not everyone in the USA will be able to view the eclipse. Depending on what area you are in, you may only be able to see part of it. The Total Solar Eclipse will darken the skies all the way from Oregon to South Carolina, along a stretch of land about 70 miles wide. People who are in the path of the eclipse are in for an unforgettable experience. Trailside RV Park happens to be in the path of this spectacular event.
If you do decide to check this out, please remember that looking directly at the sun, even when it is partially covered by the moon, can cause severe eye damage or blindness. So please use proper eye protection, so you don’t risk damaging your eyes.
