We have implemented measures to minimize contact with one another in order to keep everyone safe and healthy. We encourage you to reserve a campsite through our website or by calling us at (800) 748-7729. Prior to check-in, you’re welcome to give us a call so we may provide you with information you need in order to be checked-in with as little contact as possible.
While we clean our facilities and surfaces frequently, if you have concerns, we recommend reserving a Full Hookup site (sewer hookups) to avoid the use of our restrooms and/or showers.
Trailside RV Park’s history dates back to the 1960s. Back then, we were a campground operated by Charlie Francis and family, who later converted the property to an RV park which they continued to manage until 2008. The name “Trailside” refers to what used to be a stretch of agricultural land along the highway from here to Kansas City. In the last 10-15 years Grain Valley, MO has boomed into a suburban bedroom community of roughly 15,000. What was once peaceful farmland in the “middle of nowhere” has now become a thriving metropolis!
Today, Trailside RV Park & Campground is operated by Austin Ritter. As this is our own “home away from home,” we understand the importance of clean, quiet surroundings with all the comfort and convenience you require for a pleasant and restful stay.
Over the years, thousands of RV vacationers, traveling professionals, and others who may be passing through on their way to Kansas City have come to enjoy the relaxed RV lifestyle here. We know that at Trailside RV Park & Campground, you’ll appreciate the little touches we offer to help you make the most of your stay.
In addition to traveling families and retired couples, we welcome members of the mobile workforce such as construction workers, pipe fitters, electricians and other types of laborers. Additionally, if you are attending a conference, sports event, NASCAR, or other event in or around Kansas City alone or with a group, you may also find our RV camping accommodations to your liking.
